Mission, Vision, Values
This international taskforce, comprised of researchers, educators, scientists, and aromatic practitioners, came together around a sense of disillusionment over the quality of current nonpharmacologic aromatic research reporting. The ARQAT is united by a common goal—to set and maintain standards for conduct and reporting of nonpharmacologic aromatic intervention studies.
OUR MISSION: To create and disseminate tools and guidelines that clearly outline the highest standard in nonpharmacologic aromatic research and reporting.
OUR VISION: Aromatic research reporting will improve, promoting a robust evidence-base for the use of aromatics in health care and wellness.
OUR GOALS: To publish the results of the Delphi study, establish reporting guidelines for aromatic research, pilot the preliminary checklist and explanatory document with aromatherapy students as able, and disseminate findings by publishing open-access in high-profile peer-reviewed journals. Obtain funding to support the ongoing activities of the ARQAT.
