Mission, Vision, Values
This international taskforce, comprised of researchers, educators, scientists, and aromatic practitioners, came together around a sense of disillusionment over the quality of current nonpharmacologic aromatic research reporting. The ARQAT is united by a common goal—to set and maintain standards for conduct and reporting of nonpharmacologic aromatic intervention studies.
OUR MISSION: Create and disseminate tools and guidelines that clearly outline the highest standard in aromatherapy research in humans.
OUR VISION: The design and reporting of aromatherapy research is rigorous and reproducible, and sustainability of botanicals is consistently reported and understood as a standard criterion for aromatherapy research in humans.
OUR GOALS: To publish the results of the Delphi study, open-access and on the Equator Network. Obtain funding to support the ongoing activities of the ARQAT. Bring greater visibility to the need for clear and complete reporting related to sustainability reporting. Notify journals, organizations, and academic institutions about the resources provided by ARQAT.
